wait you still have the ign key its all the same key. if it sdeosnt work take the vin toyota they have the key numbers to cut a new key. and i doubt it has anything to do with year. ask for the parts manager.
i think its 90+. because when i was working toyota for tis or the online manuals they didn't have anything before 90 on the comp. yet you could still order stuff from parts(certain things that is). but do what others said get the number off the tumbler and take it to them.
