Damn. That is a ton of work gl. I would have sold/scrapped and started over. At least you will have a solid car when your done. Just make sure the rust doesnt start coming back before all the bare metal gets coated.
Check for sale section and post in wtb. Lots of people have extras.
The only check that most people find in the tsrm is for air temp sensor and that is a different code.
Just stay away from the spark plugs, airfilter/afm, and alt. You can use towels to cover up things. The steam works great tho most places just have the pressure wash.
Used pp on a buddys car and it do nothing but ruin paint without taking off dirt. WD40 and pressure wash after made it look...
Idk if it was said already but unplugging the wiring harness and pulling it with the engine is easier too.
Then its just fuel lines, coolant hose, power steering, ac, exhaust, fan, ds, shifter and intake/ic pipes.
Edit: ^yup agreed.
You put the wheel on the cam. Its only needed to make sure that the cams are what the card says they are. If they were 30* off i dont think the motor would run very good at any time. 1 tooth off stock can make it not even drive able.
You should fix your other problems first. Its hard to say...
No idea on that. When the bov doesnt open the air back feeds into the turbo giving you the flutter sound. Can kill your turbo and quick, but not always. Bov doesnt add hp either.
Do you have a wideband or a narrowband(light show) gauge?
When the engine is warming up it is a lot richer than when at opt temps. 7m's run super rich stock.
You should also fix your codes. Are any of the wires broken leading up to the afm? What was the last thing you did? Did you take the...
Its actually not. Since you run a k&n and dont have the pre bov filter that it comes with its likely that its clogged with dirt. Can you feel air coming out of it all?
The hks is the only bov that you sometimes need to do that with also.
Dont use wd. Wd is great to clean hands and remove greese. Get it? You want greese on the rod joints so everything operates smoothly. White lithium grease would work good.
