Ecu's rarely go bad. I think i heard of one and it was user error. Id look more at the wiring and clean the valve. You have the little orange flappy thing in right? With the metal on the outside so boost doesnt blow the valve open.

Sounds like a jz to me. 7m are more throaty sounding usually.

Easy to check to. Clear the code. Press the a/c button with the car on. then it should throw the code fairly quick.

Code 11 refers to the power and ground of the ecu. Grounds on the intake manifold and there are power wires in the 6pin gray plug by the igniter.
