The D90 and the lens you have are good stuff. You should be taking some good pics in no time. That or a 50mm will be my next lens. I haven't decided yet.

I checked, and that website is correct (not that I doubted it) on the exposure range on the Canons. I find that really odd that it is so limited. On the other hand, these HDRs were taken by a friend's friend (bracketing with 3-4 exposures each). They aren't that great, but it's doable...

I use photomatix to make mine, and so does a friend. I think it works really well. Here's one he took yesterday.

Hmmm..that's weird. I would have expected them to have a much greater range. I know a couple people with Canons..I'll try and check with them tomorrow and see if they've done any HDR stuff.

Sorry for confusing you, but by stop I just meant each exposure setting to stop at..my bad :icon_bigg Try and take a lot more exposures at different ranges like: -4 -3 -2 -1 0 +1 +2 +3 +4 Better to have more range to work with, and you don't always have to use all of them if you see that...

You really need a lot more exposures at different stops to bring out the range. For example this one I did was done -5 through +5

9mm is much better now for self defense with all of the newer rounds available for it.
