Saw one of those GTM Factory Five cars at the Food Lion Autofair and was not impressed. I don't know if it was assembled poorly, but it looked cheap to me.

I know the speedo isn't pinpoint accurate, but I'd like to have it working again. I'm using 17s with 235/45, but it's about time to get some new tires if anyone has a better size suggestion. I'll be putting in the new gear tomorrow, so I'll pace a friend to see how off it's going to be.

No refunds or exchanges on special order parts..and there is a 10% restocking fee even if they did. Really sucks, but not much I can do.

I ordered the 32 tooth 3.90 driven gear yesterday and it will be here Monday. In the meantime, if anyone wants this 4.30 driven gear for 20 bucks let me know as I have no use for it!

The 35 tooth driven gear (which comes with a new O-ring and clip) I bought cost me 32 dollars..that unfortunately I cannot return since it's a "special order" item :3d_frown: . Hopefully the correct one won't cost any more than that.

My car is an 89 and originally NA/Auto. I did not swap the rear end. It's now GTE/R154, except I'm not sure what year the R154 came out of. I'm fairly positive that the one I pulled out was 32 teeth. I put it back in to keep it from losing more oil, but I'll pull it back out tomorrow to...

The new one has 35 teeth, and I want to say that the old one has close to 30. I appreciate the help.

Nope, my speedo quit working so I narrowed it down to the gear. I just wanted it working again. Did they give me one for an auto? From what I read the W58 and R154 use the same gear? My car was originally NA so I'm assuming it has the 4.30 rearend.

After a lot more cursing I took it out and compared it to the one that came out of it. The one that came out of it (on the right) is noticeably smaller in diameter. The white one is the one I bought from Toyota (part number: 33403-19235 which came with the new O-ring and clip) Was I sold...

I'm trying to put the housing back in (R154) and it slides in up until the O ring and then wont budge. I have it aligned with the metal tab that the bolt slides through, but it just won't go in the rest of the way. Is there something I'm not doing, or does it just need to be strongarmed back in?

Another update: It's pretty much done for the most part.

My friend has broken four 1/2in wrenches now using the above purposes, hah. They exchange them every time like their policy states.

Little update..have over 100 miles on the car since I did the headgasket. It's kinda nice to have a quiet Supra to drive around.

You're pretty much out of luck unless you plan to spend a lot of money on a lawyer. I've been waiting to go to my jury trial over a traffic collision since June (and I was not found at fault). Stupid people fucking suck.
