No need to cut the springs. Get a strut compressor and coil compressor. There is two different tool from vatozone. Do it right with the right tools.
PS. cutting the spring isn't recommanded, as most factory and other springs are cold wound. Any heat addressed to them will surely throw...

seafoam is a good way of clean up some sludge and carbon build up. Use it through the vacuum only. Don't use it in the oil system as It can reveal leaks ( good if you want to replace the leaks or bad if it becomes major)

You need a stock DD. Not a 2G 4g63 as it is prone to crank walk. You will find out that 4G63 are money pits as a supra. Turbo cars all are. I know plentiful about 4g63 as I have owned 5 of them previously and tuned them all. Put that 1 grand towards the 7m and be patience.

Check ECU for leaking caps or burnt circuit board. Test coolant temp sensor via hynes manual or chiltons. Check and test CPS.
