How can you tell its coming from the header for sure?wouldn't expect oil to be pouring from exhaust header. The oil cooler lines, the oil filter and relief valve are all down where the exhaust header is. Could it be coming from one of those?
Hmm..Idk I might be a little leary of that. Odds are it probably wouldn't affect much but u paid for them, they should fit right...if u put the stockers back on another one do they cover the block all the way? I have no idea but if there is space left over could that possibly cause the bearings...
So I went out and looked at my fuse diagram covering my fuse panel and the word "main" is wrote in from the PO where the IGN fuse is. I apoligize for the bad info, my problem was the IGN fuse....Im dumb
A little off the topic but as soon as I get done with assembly of my motor I was going to jump on the gauge mounting and such. I had a crazy idea to put all my new gauges except boost where the glove box was( took it out to get to ecu)...was gonna just put an aluminum faceplate with holes cut...
Yeah...I was under the assumption he was already upgrading the fuel system...but yes that should be high on the list...here's what my build is and I'm hoping to break 400rwhp after assembly and tune. All I am waiting on is block to be machined:
3in custom dp to full 3in custom exhaust
K&N...
OP...idk why those two went off on that tangent they both know a wideband is a very useful asset. Anyway...first thing is first download the full tsrm, get ur ass into ur uncles shop and double, triple check all the clearances on that new motor. Then slap everything on u have bought for it. Your...
Are there any other issues associated with this...e.g. white smoke from tailpipe, waterfall sounds in the cabin, coolant overflow doing weird things...?
Just out of curiosity, you said all new bearings were put in 30,000 km ago. When u did that did u get the crank turned, did you put new main bearings in too, and did u put the thrust washer back in right? Even if all your looking to do is put new bearings in to stop the knock long enough to...
Another thing you can do is somehow open the WG enough that boost levels drop and start to show up on the stock gauge and go from there to get an idea. At least then you know ur safe until the gauge comes. Even with a proper HG job I wouldn't push anything past 12psi and I would daily about 8...
I would wait for the boost gauge to come. The factory one is junk...also I wouldn't be driving around WOT until you can monitor boost. Would hate to see u end up right where you started again. What mods are done to the car? How was the head gasket done? And what kind of boost are you wanting to...
Do you have a warranty on the headwork? Anyway, pull each spark plug one by one and see if it stops. If you have the cams out your not real far away. Fastest way is to just unbolt intake and exhaust mani from head and pull head out. I know it sucks since u just rebuilt but it happens just put...
