The trunk noise is what I hate. Oddly enough my 7M has been pretty stout for holding 12psi every time I drive it and having 235k on the block.
Currently I'm hating 87/88 trim (found that mine is definitely rusted) and my driver door. The door is my own fault though as 2 of the latch bolts...

Personally I bought a new long cable as I didn't want to mess with it. Mine would squeak badly any time the temp dropped below 40F/~5C.
Last night I bolted the exhaust back up. I finally put a cat back on it. Was running for several years with a test pipe. LSS the cat was 1/2" longer than the test pipe which was already a hella tight fit. Had a local friend of the Supra community shorten my Blitz by 1" to fix the issue...
The vacuum hose goes from the charcoal canister to the BVSV. It's the top most thing on the thermostat housing. There should be another line from there to the hard lines on the 3000 pipe.
Being honest I'm one of your 5%. The 95% that would jump at a MKIV are the ones that bought a MKIII only because they couldn't afford a MKIV. I got the MKIII because I was torn between a MKII and a MKIII and just happened to find a MKIII first. The MKII was the 'better version' of the 85...
+1
Other actual car enthusiasts like it for what it is. Ricers, haters, and idiots are the ones who are 2JZ/MK4 this that and the other. I can't tell you how many different lines I've heard in the years I've had it. Even one time from some idiot in a 90's Corolla at a stop light 'man that...
Just a friendly reminder that MI2k13 kicks off in 1 week.
So far 7/26 is still a go.
I still haven't fixed my door so I'll be the one in the 'seen better days' MKIII pretending to be in the General Lee.
That little capacitor looking thing (if I'm getting what you're saying properly) is part of the voltage regulator for the alternator. You have 2 options. New alternator or repair the current one. To repair your current one you'd want to hunt down a local alternator repair shop as just the...
THE MEET HAS BEEN OFFICIALLY POSTPONED DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER.
The organizers do not want to risk lives by having a bunch of high hp cars running around in the rain.
Official make up dates are 7/26 through 7/28. Same format: Friday night meet and greet, Saturday drag strip day, Sunday...
Don't worry about the car meet, looking back in 5 years you'd have rather been there for her than for us. Congratulations!!! Next year you can bring pics of your little one.
And then there were less than 4 days!!!
Looks like the event hasn't been updated here in a while. I'll be there in my sub 300hp MKIII with crap paint and crap interior so don't be intimidated by all the high hp and/or clean cars because everyone is welcome (unless you're a ricer just wanting to do burnouts in the parking lot)...
I've taken mine on many 8+ hour road trips and wouldn't hesitate to do it again. Basically if it lasts 30 minutes in stop and go traffic without issues there shouldn't be an issue on the open freeway.
Like always in a 20+ year old car carry a basic tool set, a couple quarts of oil, and a jug...
