That is the check valve for the bov. The same problem happened to my hks bov but my check valve only came dislodged. I was able to put it back in though. I just looked on HKS' site and I don't think they sell the valve seperately. May have to get another bov if that piece is cracked
well if you have a code 52 you have and your car is running like crap it takes your car out of limp mode. the rewire allows the spark timing to advance more vs keeping it retarded to prevent detonation/knock since the ecu is now getting a signal. like i said my car was struggling to go past 4500...
yeah i had fun doing it. i actually learned how to solder while doing this. a lot easier than i thought it would be. yeah that guy shaeff really knows what hes talkin about. i saw his name on almost every knock sensor thread lol
I figured I'd let the forum know that I did the knock sensor rewire and my car is running ridiculously great! i had CEL code 52 and my car used to fall on it's face after it went into boost and struggled to rev anywhere past 4500 rpm. Not anymore! I did the rewire according to...
so on an 89 7mgte TPS what is the correct position of the pins from top to bottom? ive been doing more research and im starting to think that my throttle stop adjustment screw may be out of adjustment. like the throttle body isn't open enough or something. i have no idea. im digging into this...
i've checked the timing 4 times already lol. trust me it's correct. but i will check it once more just for peace of mind. again. but as far as the resistance at idle goes, i dont remember exactly what the numbers were but it was like .8 or .9 with no feeler gauges installed. just to be sure the...
i have the A/C compressor installed but has no freon in it. i have fixed all vacuum leaks that i've found. i guess that's gonna be the next thing i check but it's gonna have to wait till tomorrow. been at it since early this morning. i just wanna know if having the timing this far retarded is...
so after jdm 7mgte reassembly, engine set at 0 degress on crank pulley and notches lined up on the cam gears, cam position sensor installed and timing set to 10 BTDC with plugs te1 and e1 shorted (diagnostic mode), engine struggled to rev past 3000 rpm on the test drive (at 10 degrees BTDC). it...
