no my buddy is running a stock 7M radiator on his 1JZ with hydro fans it will work except without the temp sensor in the Radiator yur hydro fans (if thats what yur using) will be at full blast at all times..... if yur using the 2JZ water pump and mechanical fan then it would be the same thing...

yes i had to do that to a friends car with a friggin pocket knife for about 30 mins it sucked but works like a charm now!!!!
