Dang RIC, you let that go cheap! If we ever meet, I will kick you so you don't have to kick yourself :) Yeah, the GN needs some upgrades but it does straight lines really well. I am just an 80's kinda guy. Plus, 6x9 speakers fit in it. That is a true test of a 80's redneck car.
I like the dash, tails, and nose of the Monte Carlo SS much better. Wish that would have offered the 3.8 turbo in that car. I will probably own one some day. Once I tire of the Supra.
Why yes I have, I was actually driving when they came out and a good friend bought an 86 from the dealer. And you? I know you aren't going to say the GN and T-types aren't made for draging? Mullet mobile, yes but I once sported one of those as well :D They may be retro 80's ugly, but they...
Twenty grand? Nah, I would put 20K in a Grand National and rape them at the track :) I do agree, dumbest was not the right word to use RIC. I just dont understand the "secret" nature of them.

I still believe anything over 500 on the street is wheel spin or just a highway/dyno queen. The 1.5 is a great alternative to the lack of low end response of the 1J. Even if the 2J flows better or more air, the stock 1J head can get into the 500's with cams all day. I would have gone 1.5 but...
