There are alot of pieces available for the MKIII still. I just ordered a new console cover and other misc parts. They are not cheap but they are available.
The MKIV crowd doesnt give respect because 75% of the MKIIIs out there are ragged out with faded paint, busted up or worn interior, and just a lack of general care for the car. I dont think it has anything to do with the motor or drivetrain.
The 20th Anniversary TTA is the best car on the list hands down! I would love to find one of those in good shape. Nice looking car with the Grand National drivetrain
I like the MKIII much better. I am in the middle of a 2J swap but the 3SGTE Celica would have smoked my previous 7M that I had in the Supra. I am sure the T67 2J will be much faster. I will never own another FWD turbo car again. I would love to build a 3SGTE all-trac celica...that would be a...
I sold it to a kid in Tampa. Not sure if it's still around or not. I just couldn't get over the uncontrolability of the car. It was built with forged rods, pistons, large plenum intake, standalone....the works. I bought it already built from a guy who got into money issues. I bought my...
I had a 3S in a 3rd gen Celica with a T61. Very fast car but the torque steer was for the birds. Even with the MR2 LSD, it was all over the road when it hit. Everyone that rode in it couldn't believe it was a 4 banger....it was fast.
Anyone know what type of material is used to isolate the magnets on a dual walbro setup? Can someone post a link as to where to buy it.
Thanks in advance...
Chris
I can’t believe you mentioned the 7M and 2J in the same sentence. No brainer there. The 2J is by far one of the best engines ever made. You can make the 7M work but why? I never had a problem out of my 7M but I never once trusted it. I look forward to driving the 2J without watching my...
I owned a AEM with the HKS DLI and planned on using it for my 2J swap. I since sold them and went with the MKIV ECU and MAP 2. Guys are putting down over 700 rwhp with it on DD supras. I will let you know how it goes. I hope to be running mid October.
