To those that have polished your intake. Did you polish the base of the sensors? On the 2JZ manifold there are several sensors that are rather large i.e. traction control and the IAC that have aluminum bases. Should these be polished or just painted black? Seems like they would stick out...

I hate seeing kids put all their money into the engine while neglecting the rest of the car. Yeah, it has 400+ rwhp but it looks like garbage, the paint is shot, the interior is trashed, the power steering leaves puddles, the brakes squeak.....etc. In the end, the motor ends up blowing because...

+1 Good vinyl does cost more than leather. It really is nice stuff. I went to three shops here in Florida and none would warranty leather in the Florida sun and heat. All of them recommended vinyl. I prefer cloth so that is what I went with.

Vonda you are doing a 7M build? I thought you were smarter than that....nevermind, you did marry Jay :) Why not a JZ?
