    How much mileage is too much?

    Depends on how it's been maintained I got mine with 160000 KM's on it but the veggie that owned it hadn't been using coolant for sometime and this cost a bit to put right!

    You should be able to get it at any automotive store Jake it's only a couple of bucks! If it's hammered the bearings I'd be double checking your fuel system!

    I'd be a bit concerned that the shells fell out Jake! (usually a bad sign) I can't stress enough how important it is to platigauge the new bearings so you know where it's all at!

    I'd roll all the uppers in then bolt #1 and #7 caps in with the old bearing then plastigauge #2>#6 with the new bearings in. Then I'd leave #2>#6 done up and swap out #1 and #7 with the new bearings and plastigauge em. Once you're happy with the clearance I'd pull #2>#6 caps smear em with...

    I think there will be enough play in the input shaft bearing for it to work Jake. I'd start at #7 then work forwards.

    Leave the bolts in back em off a turn or so then tap the caps till the crank drops a touch. (use a plastic hammer)
