I use an NA filter mount then go out to a remote filter and oil cooler with a T Stat in line, the pressure based system is assbackwards as it's bypassing the oil to the cooler when it's cold and thick ;)!
GrpA: I remember seeing an IC that had dual 3" in and outs somewhere and was thinking this might be an alternative with a nice Y pipe from the 4" to the dual 3".
Not going to be a fun job routing the 4" pipes no matter how you go about it ;)!
Thought you would have ditched the pressure...
GrpA: LMAO couldn't find a bigger Turbo? :D
(What are you doing for an IC that HKS one doesn't look up to the job as the in and outs look like 75mm?)
I love it and will follow this thread closely thanks for posting!
Mk3TS: The title had me cracking up and a little uncomfortable at what I was going to find in here! ;)
Really glad it's gone to a good home Peter!
(Still have a grin thinking about the monkey bit!)
You'll need to take 5mm off the Mk3 Hub OD so the rotors will fit over them then you need a spacer as the centre hole on the Mk3 is 60mm and 62mm on the Mk4's!
I machined the spacer to press fit onto the Mk3 centre pilot then turned it's OD to match the Mk4 rotor this was it's perfectly...
I thought a few of the Vendors here were putting affordable BBK's together?
(MDC was one I think)
Yep I remember my first stop from 200+ KPH on stock brakes took about 5 minutes for my eyes to stop shaking!
The hardware for my setup was so damn expensive I can't imagine anyone wanting to...
Ended up costing me 6K AUD just in parts and then there's a LOT of custom machine work to make it all fit!
Yeah I agree on the warped rotors thing!
Something I found was if I used a torque wrench on the wheel nuts it didn't do the warped rotor thing on stock brakes (Guys at the tire place...
I'm with AM on this if you're going to the trouble of replacing a clutch get something better than you think you need as our cars are a recipe for clutch death!
Lots of weight+not bad traction and a turbo=clutch as the weakest link and much sadness when it starts slipping!
LOL a friend I used to go riding with turned up out of the blue last night!
Haven't seen him for about 4 years and we talked about getting out again as neither of us have ridden for too many years!
(Used to do 300km's a week)(even built a 2 bike rack for the Supra as once I got to 4" travel...
Bob: I'm using +20's in the Mule and it seems fine and a few people have posted that +40's are still safe.
If your spare block is stock bore it would be a lot better and cheaper to go that route than having the old one sleeved.
