Dunno why but Japan held onto a lot of imperial sizing for threads on their cars!
Most aftermarket senders/hoses use NPT and while they're similar there's enough difference to either destroy the threads or leak (1 tpi difference and a different taper angle)
I leave the sender...

Maybe as I said that's the GTE Cold Climate fan Socc!
(Can't see why my dealer would ahve the one I bought listed as "Hot Climate" if there wasn't a "Cold Climate" one! (it would just be a GTE fan if 10 blades were stock)
Jake: Just checked my owners manual and if you can suck the tank dry you have 18.5 US Gallons.
Can't see how you could hurt the pump running it dry as soon as it's out of fuel the car stops anyway and you turn the ign off.....

With stock gauges it's more a case of you get used to where it reads in normal conditions then if there's something wrong you react.
Stock gauges are good for this as they're consistant.
As the guys have said they're slow to react but even with a good gauge usually by the time you react to...
