Turn the motor to true TDC and remark the balancer.
Use the corner edge of a file to file a new notch and dribble some white paint in it.
Now reset the Cams to true 0/0 and adjust the CPS as everything will be out 5 degrees.

Just went out and had a look at my AEM pullies and you're right!
Not sure how much of an offset Toyota put in as it's really only meant to allow for belt stretch/wear.
What would I do?
I wouldn't have posted the details here as someone will buy it out from under you at the worst!
At the best the owner will get a lot of interest and won't want to haggle as much!
Don't forget to take the front timing case along with some bolts!
Make sure they DON'T screw anything into the Cam Tensioner hole (lifting jigs)
(it can deform #1 cylinder ask how I know :( )
So they just polished the crank?
Stock HG is 1.27 compressed I think so you have .7mm/.027" to play with on the deck if you want to keep the compression around stock.
I've found a local supplier for Deutsche connectors, they come in 1,2,3,4,6,8 pin configuration.
My MSD Cdi's use 8 pin's and I've ordered a bunch to tidy up the wiring on my car.
