    Exhaust Bypass

Nice. I'd imagine it'll be slightly louder than you might want, but no big deal. Like you said, you can add as resonator or muffler to the mid section later. I have a generic Apexi-knockoff fartcan out back, and it's quite tolerable with the silencer in, but I wanted to get rid of some of the...

    Exhaust Bypass

What muffler did you buy? I plan on doing an electric cutout for the same reasons, paired with a Borla muffler and possibly a mid muffler as well. I want it real quiet for everyday driving, even at the expense of max power.

    7mgte help for 350hp

Why do you want an HKS headgasket "because you can reuse it"? You plan on blowing it? A metal head gasket is always a good idea, but plan on having both the head and the block surfaces decked to a smoother finish, or you may be reducing the reliability of the gasket. So, you plan to upgrade to...

Mk3 supra sub frame & targa braces

If this frame brace will get rid of the wet noodle feel with the targa top off... why do you also need to sell a targa top brace?

    7mgte help for 350hp

Why are people suggesting a standalone system for a 350hp goal? I could see a standalone, if the person wants to go much further in the future, but I wouldn't go standalone for under 400hp. I would say to upgrade in the following order, if 350 truly is your max desire: 1. ARP headstuds and...

CPS is not timed, everything else is timed, car won't start.

If you own a Supra and work on it yourself, You MUST own a repair guide of some sort. Hayne's, Chilton's, or a Toyota TSRM. at the very least, you need to refer to the online TSRM. It will tell you how to adjust your ignition timing. The preferred choice for antifreeze/ coolant is Toyota...

    help 7mgte wont start

Um. Huh? If the starter was the problem, how could it be cranking? And if it's cranking, then how can it not be 'turning over'? If you mean it's not actually running(but it is cranking/ turning over), why would you think the starter is the problem???

No idle and sputter need help

Ah yes, just read that in your sig. Then all bets are off. The ecu itself(or its wiring) could be causing the problem.

    It should start.... but won't.

Aligning the cps is more luck than procedure. Not downing on your execution. Even if you line up the mark perfectly, you have nearly a 50% chance of it rotating one tooth off of correct.

Electric fans, just one more thread... Lol

Stock rating on an alternator? 70 na, 80 turbo. That's at speed, I think though, so an idle output would be questionable.

No idle and sputter need help

OK, ok...MAYBE I was wrong... :) Make sure the afm wiring is plugged in tight to the afm If so, try unplugging your tps, and see if it runs better.

    It should start.... but won't.

How were you able to veryify CPS timing if it doesn't run? Are you saying you timed the ignition to 10 degrees at ~250rpm cranking speed? That would mean its WAY off of running position @800rpm. If anything, I would retard the timing from that point and try again.

Woa- Had blown some fuses? There's where your problem lies. Not in the fuses themselves, probably, but in the short(s) that blew them in the first place. Keep us posted, as there is nothing more frustrating than everybody putting in their effort to help, and never hearing the solution/ results. :)

    Car Lift

If you want serious height, like if you had to pull the tranny out for example, You'll need to jack in steps, regardless. IE- jack up to some height, put in jackstands, And start again with the jack, with the extenders you posted, or wood spacers, as mentioned. This is the only way to get 2+ft...

Electric fans, just one more thread... Lol

I imagine you could run one, but either way, you want to shroud it so ALL air goes through the fan. And you must run it through a relay or you'll be burning up coolant temp switches daily. Trust me.

    R154 Cluth kit

True what he said, but if you ARE going to make more power, or you AREN'T going to change your driviung habits, do what I say.

R154 Clutch replacement, how Hard is it?

Another important tip- When you install the clutch, you need to leave the pressure plate loose on the flywheel, so that when you guide the the input shaft of the tranny in through the clutch, the disc has some wiggle room so that it can self-align. This is why Toyota put in those two inspection...

No idle and sputter need help

It's the cps. I really need to put this answer in a file on my desktop, so that I can copy and paste it every time I see this type of thread. 1. Remove the adjustment bolt that holds the cps in. 2. Rotate the cps in either direction to a point just past its normal adjustment range. 3.Try to...
