Good to hear-
Thanks.
And just to keep a sense of progress, i'll just mention that my Driftmotion intercooler kit has been *trying* to get to my house.
Third failed delivery attempt happened today, but i've been out of town. Hopefully i get home before it heads back across the country.
So...
I was right? The tabs are to be pressed against the sides of the bolts?
But they weren't in this case, because arp's were used?(the deep obvious)
So, why is there a locking plate on the flywheel in this case?
I ask, because i was thinking of buying one, but I'm using arp's also, and...
Well, I'm sorry Steven.
Ive' been staring at the pic, as deep in to the obvious as i can, but my eyes aren't what they used to be.
I don't have any experience with using a lock plate. Maybe you could help a brotha out ?
Yeah, like Grandhavi said, you were describing classic bhg symptoms, and saying you didnt think it was bhg BECAUSE of those symptoms. Everyone simply said "it sounds like bhg". Meanwhile, all you had to do was go down to Autozone or wherever, and borrow(not buy) a block tester. But you didn't...

Bolt flange needs to be cut down to ~45mm.
Id be kinda surprised if it were to overheat from such a small oil cooler.
And it is an upgraded rad as well. But you're right. I'll keep it as-is for now, and see if it needs an amendment once its running.
Yeah, if you are only looking for 300rwhp, then a Lex/550 setup/ mbc, and a freeflow exhaust(turbo elbow) is all you need to do to get there.
You don't need a meth kit or MAFT pro, etc. keep it simple.
Like Bogwon said, arp's are a good idea, but even a Felpro or toyota headgasket is reliable...
Hmm.
I dunno... Ive got it right up flush to the rad, and im using stock shroud and fan, so the air should be effectively pulled through it. I didnt center it to the fan, either. I offset it so that it wouldnt be in the 'dead zone' at the center point of the fan's rotation.
Perhaps the gap...
agreed. if it's made to terminate at a logical, aesthetic point, and can be had in a matte(no-glare) finish, I might be in.
PS- Would it extend all the way up to cover the defroster area? Mine's got cracks forming there.
