    morganson's COP S-Type setup

Agreed, but i think that the coils would sit alot higher than preferred. I think that a 'floating' cover would look better, though if you have to pull one coil, you have to pull them all. Or at least unbolt them all, to remove the cover. But that'd be ok with me.

Supra + Faye = Love. My first build thread. (beware, picture heavy...)

Wow, it actually sounds like you have more intense driving experience than most, actually...including me. And wow on the VW. Great rally concept. I had an '88 8v golf GT, loved it. Bought it for $150, sold it for $1100. Loved how cheap the replacement parts were for it too. Ps- bought...

    morganson's COP S-Type setup

Yes, but sits flat with the topside of the tab, or the underside. Try this A/B choice:

    New 280z guy here

    Um... That IS a 280ZX, not a 280Z. My first car was a '77 280z, followed by my second car, a 1978 280z.

Out of curiosity, Faye- What other types of cars do you own? Anything cool?

    morganson's COP S-Type setup

I do have the coils here, Adam. Am i correct, Morganson, in thinking that the coils bottom-mount to this plate, and just the heads of them protrude through the top? Ooh- one last question, Morganson; How much length did you cut from the boots? I bought the DG500 coils, so my boots came in a...

    B&G Springs

Those are the Eibach's. And yes, the drop is supposed to be lower in the front. But i think a front drop of .5 inches is perfect. Besides, we're talking about a drop equal to the width of your thumb. And that set of pics is 7+ years after installing them, so they definitely hold their ride...

Project Git 'er done!: Stages 1 through5- ***14 YEARS....Approaching the finish line!!!***

Just a few new parts in lately... Started mounting the PLX's, and have begun the wiring. Also, got the coils in for the "morganson" COP setup. Still waiting for someone to come up with a mounting plate. If necessary, i'll make one myself.

Supra + Faye = Love. My first build thread. (beware, picture heavy...)

I get what its like to be emotionally tied to your Supra... My friends have asked me for over a decade, why i still own it and spend money on it... BUT...I might suggest that its cheaper to have a tattoo shop modify your vin tat, rather than fix everything that's wrecked on your Supra. I was...

    B&G Springs

I think that the Eibach's are a great spring. I had intrax on mine first, but got rid of them as soon as i could afford the eibach's. The Intrax's were an even drop, but too low. The Eibach's are progressive wound, so they're somewhat soft like stock, until you really push the car. They dropper...

Also, what material did you use for your black mounting plate? Is it also made of phenolic resin?

    Sheedy Built Supra

Just so you know... If that stainless fuel line to your rail ever touches that bare contact on you alternator underneath it... You lose the car. I almost did. Switched to nylon covered braid and used a rubber terminal cover off a Toyota pickup.

    morganson's COP S-Type setup

Morganson- can you post all the dimensions that you used for the CAD design? We could use that as a template if a premade mounting plate ends up being a no-go.

Apropos of nothing whatsoever, anyone ever neglect to secure their targa top?

I lost my original years ago. It was summer time, and the weather had been great for days, so I was running with the top off all day. That night, I put it back on the car, just in case there was any dew in the morning(and because my apt. complex wasn't exactly Melrose Place.) I was simply...

    Cross-compatible radiator fans?

Just wanted to add a pic: The Lexus LS400 fan is BARELY smaller than the shroud opening, but IMO- too tight to safely run. If someone were so inclined, they could certainly shave a 1/4" from the blades to make it a perfect size. The problem with that of course, is getting it perfectly balanced...
