The stock oil pressure sender is directly below the thermostat housing. The stock sender is about 2 inches in diameter and has a single wire connection. The thread is 1/8 Bspt as mentioned. An adapter such as this: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/ATM-2269/ Is needed for most sensors that are...
Strange. It was the power wire for the A/F Gauge or just a random wire with 12v+? Not quite seeing how that could cause this problem, though you didnt say what it was shorting against.
Did you ever clean the AFM?
JetJock: :biglaugh:
Hatchet: Teflon tape should do just fine for the temp sensor. The stock sensor is 4 wire sensor. Two for signal and two for the heater circuit. i would return that sensor and get a sensor that has four wires.
Not if the tccs is operating in closed loop during this time. It will "correct" itself back to where it wants to be effectively undoing the tuning you did.
Also if the timing is too advanced there's nothing you could do about that with out a maft pro.
Are you sure the smoke is coming from inside the exhaust and not being burned On the exhaust? The Dipstick tube on my car came slightly loose and was leaking oil onto the down pipe creating a smoke screen effect.
More boost could lead to higher crankcase pressure causing oil to get blown out of...
Its hard to see in the pictures. The bracket bolts to the throttle body and the head. Ill try to get a better picture when the car isn't in the garage.

TWT is the turbo model and is how mine is set up. Ill grab a picture tomorrow if that diagram isnt clear enough.
Exellent. There actually next to each other in frot of the radiator. I don't do much track time so they should be fine for my use. When ever I'm pushing my car I allow pleanty of cooldown time after each pass/run.
Just need to figure out a good dipstick solution.
If the shims are out of spec too thick it could hold a valve open.
A thermostat isnt a one way valve. Its a thermally controlled valve. Theres no direction of flow to a thermostat.
The Thermostat could probably only fit in one way on a 7m. Also the coolant flows top to bottom on the...
So i guess 7 quarts is included in a oil and filter change? 5 quarts for spec, the common extra quart for good measure and another quart for the cooler and lines?
How do you feel about this cooler JDub?

I'm running two, one for oil, and one for transmission. Fit nicely together in front of the radiator.
I rely heavily on the Firefox spell check. It automatically checks as you type. Its sweet because you just right click on the red underlined word and it gives you suggestions of what the word should be. I <3 technology.
