Ummmm not to put a downer on all this but you're on a Mk3 forum Joel and there aren't many of our members that buy new Gas cars let alone pay the premium for an electric so until they make them affordable enough for the average guy (read when hell freezes over) I can't see them being a viable...
Josh: It might be better mounted over by the brakes as you may have too much of a temp differential and have made a really good 7M still!
Vixen: In all the time I ran mine I never got a drop in it either so during the rebuild I didn't refit it! (I take this as a sign of a healthy motor)

I guess it comes down to driving style, traction,clutch choice and so on but in the long run it's a grenade and you decide if you're pulling the pin or not!
