Mine just bolts on with no trimming at all.
I also worked as an installer as a kid and there are some scarey crap setups out there.
Wait till you see the look on someone face when you blow their doors off towing a loaded trailer it's priceless ;)
Installed mine way back in 97 when I got the Car I got harpooned by an idiot while I was braking for a red light, his car was destroyed mine had minimal damage ;) (it peeled the pinstripe on the bumper)
If you have a leveller and 2 people you can get it in without damaging the paint, mine had an engine bay respray and we managed to get the complete motor Turbo to FFI and Group A Pan in without a mark ;)
(GrpA Pan makes life hard)
Covered everything with cardboard just in case...
Been preaching the same thing for years now John......
Can't understand people that want to reinvent the wheel if something isn't broke don't fix it.......
If someone can show me a failure in a correctly built motor from Oil starvation due to flow restriction in the system I'll be happy...
There are minimal Steering/cornering forces going through the Towers and the layout of most strut bars/braces isn't triangulated so they're a total waste of time and money other than the placebo effect they're useless.....
Torque limiting damper that bolts from the engine mount to the chassis under the intake.
It's a good thing to have as my old mounts tore throgh and this stopped the engine escaping ;)
I'm not against innovation as such it just bothers me when people are trying to fix a non existant problem.
The 7M oiling system is pretty stout as is and with a few minor changes is quite bullet proof.
It bothers me in threads like the sticky on solving the 7M's oil system issues things...
