The extra 5 psi would make a huge increase in temps.....
For comparison my car at 20 psi on a 90f day making 550rwhp was showing 107f intake temps.
I've just finished my 5speed>Auto conversion today and if I hadn't butchered my harness so badly many years ago it would have been a plug in job?
(excluding the parts I hacked out it was all there)
T4L: Sounds like something is amiss with the PCV system for sure.
JetJock would be able to give a better diagnoses of this as I've NEVER ran a stock GTE PCV system so wouldn't want to give you bad info.
Lay under the car and look along all 3 Uni's the caps should all face the same direction in a straight line, the rear section of shaft can twist putting them out of phase causing the issue you describe.
