Another thing people aren't taking into account when discussing 2 piece V's 1 piece is that the Centre bearing weight needs to be subtracted from the equation as it's neither rotating or supported by the Shaft in use (think sprung/unsprung weight in suspension terms)
In real terms there is...
Piece of welding wire with a hook bent on it's end in through the drain plug should be able to hook it out, maybe pour some Gas in from the top to wash it towards the hole.
Being shorter stroke I'd expect less deflection at the same HP level so the 7M damper should in theory be good for more HP in this motor!
I'm sure ATI could calulate the new HP Rating for the damper if you provide them with the stroke info Aaron.
