Gauging interest on pulley set, developed by NST

It's not a case of if it's wanted the 7M will trash the bearings fairly quickly using an undampened pully so it's pretty well a must have. If they can bring it in cheaper than the ATI one they have a ready market for these things.

No damper so it's not the best idea for a 7M.

Why are turbo cars required to warm up?

Suze: It's more engine economy if the mixtures are rich it washes the cylinder and wears the rings/bores. Goliath: Thanks :) Burntz: Yep it's just having a little mechanical empathy and NOT beating the motor to death. ALL of the clearences we use during a build are designed to give the...

Why are turbo cars required to warm up?

The longer you stay on the fast idle/cold start cycle the more Oil you're washing off the cylinders due to the rich mixtures. If you drive as soon as the car will move without stalling it warms up faster and you get onto the normal lean map.

    FFIM noises?

Why are turbo cars required to warm up?

When I've used no WC Turbo's in the past I've just driven them normally (slow/legal) for a minute or two before I'm about to stop the motor. Worst case scenario is a BIG Boost then shutdown as most mid size turbo's will be spinning at 150K Rpm and rely on an oil wedge on both sides of the...

    Drive train problem

Brian: Did you inspect the trans mount? They can be totally ripped but stay in one piece due to the torque limiter bolt in the middle of them. (I left one on when I had parts cryo'd and the rubber fell out but the mount was still in one piece)
