    T-stat issue resolved and why it happened. With pics.

    It's an old school mod.... In some motors if you totally remove the T Stat the motor will actually overheat as the water moves through the Rad too fast so you gut the T Stat. Moroso sell "kits" with different sized plates.

    Another cause "stray current" I'd grab a pick or a small screwdriver and poke it to see if it is an actual hole and not a leak higher up before jumping to conclusions.

    Seen the white inside the housings a few times and it's usually something in the fuel. The white on the outside looks like fluid leaks. Yes the crank bolt is normal righthand thread but it's 195 ft/lbs.

    The Copper one has the highest temp rating.

    Use a smear of Copper high temp Silicone when you install it as the flanges won't be flat.

    The genuine Toyota ones are very high quality compared to most of the Kit ones, not sure what you'll get from e-bay.

    If your cooling system is that marginal that you need the 10 degree runup it's time to do some work.

    Will: You can bolt any of the diffs in. Higher numbers = more acceleration Lower numbers = more top speed

    Some of the JDM MA70's came with 15" wheels so for a one stop type race (drag) those in good condition would be ample.
