craftsman is fine...
I own a ton of stanley tools and they're as good as craftsman in most ways, but far cheaper...
even have a lifetime warranty, but it's not as easy as walking into a sears and getting a new one like craftsman...
snap-on is a ripoff on most of their tools as well...
go issues with your targa seals??
LUBE THEM, you should lube your seals anyway to make them last. Get a can of the silicon lubricant/seal dressing and have at it.
If your targa leaks, you more than likely installed the driprails wrong, and it's not the seals...
I learned by getting my hands dirty, and I have the calluses, scars, and bruises to prove it.
You end up buying tools....lots and lots of tools. Nothing makes job easier than the right tool (and saves your skin)
