the diffusers on the inside of the JDM ones are tinted (USDM is clear), and the center part is painted with a gunmetal paint instead of the bright silver paint on the USDM. it's easy to make USDM's look like JDM's with the same color, but they're not as dark. (see sig)

I've seen people put the pre-89 fron end on an 89+ it's pure opinion...

people use em because the carrier bearing is as expensive as a one piece drive shaft, and the response is better... honestly, it would have been cheaper for toyota to use a 1-piece, so in their infinate knowledge why on earth did they put a 2-piece in? kinda like the thinking behind copex...

asshate previous owner cut right before the resonator, used crush bent mild steel piping with a glasspack and two of those ricer upturned tips that stuck out like 6" from my bumper... can't afford a cat-back yet, but I did hack off the tips and put a cheap wal-mart tip on there to look...

or you can wire in the corner light leads from your pre-89 bulb holders, or if you're already 89+ and just want the JDM tails, it's totally plug and play...

DON'T OVERTORQUE, stock lug nut torque is fine to seating them, anything more and you'll stretch, damage, or snap the bolts...
