The 18-55 is a very good kit lens. My d50 came with the 28-100 which is a giagantic peice of shit. Ugh.
If you're willing to drop some money on a crisper lens, I highly recommend the 18-70. Its a frickin fantastic lens.

I have a D50 and have loved it... except for it's low light sensitivity.. which kinda blows. I'm picking up a D200 this weekend to rectify that. Here's some of my favorite shots (most have some sort of touchup.. generally just color correction, but nothing is added in/removed, "photoshoped")...

Well I went to go check IGSW... and it had come out of B1. Plugged it back in, and got CEL, as well as full voltage at the check connector.
Still having a problem with the starter though, the keyswitch to "start" does send voltage through the b-w wire under the...

i had a friend who had an e34 M5... never drove it but man it was fun to ride in. Very smooth, but put on the speed quickly. Can't tell ya much about the handling as we were in FL and there are no good roads in south florida. But its very comfortable, and wisks along quite well.

Damn, i've abused the crap out of my HF angle grinder- still works decently well. I dropped it 20ft a few weeks ago, now its not quite perfectly balanced but hey thats what eye protection and gloves are for.
