how much do you boost just off of the WG? (turn the boost controller off)
usully it's difficult to boost over twice what the WG is set to. You cna try a test of disconnecting the line to the WG and see if it goes over (DO THIS CAREFULLY, do a slow pull and watch the boost gauge).
What...
my valve stems didn't actual "seal" left, it was the tiny spring part and the metal cap over it...
I'm thinking it attributed to me losing my engine from rod knock (I check my oil everytime I fill up, and I had plenty, but I was boosting hard for a good couple minutes and no oil after it)
had to go pick up Michelle...
I had LITERALLY 10 miles on my clutch, no fun yet...
We need another meet here soon, WTF is with all the DFW guys not hanging out?
I dunno if I'll need anything, right now I need a damn fender, everything else is look great...
True, but it's the statement that ALL cars are easy if you follow directions.
It's when clueless people start working on their cars that we get issues...
honestly? Whiteline doesn't publish their rates (as they do make race pieces and like to keep it under wraps), but from what I've seen, they're far thicker than anything else on the market...
The softest setting on the new adjustable front is stiffer than the normal whiteline bar I've ben...
it MIGHT last a little longer with a garrett center section (there is a guy selling 60-1's with garrett center sectison but the stock housings on ebay, supposedly they last a while)
At that price if I could get it made for less that $500 I'd try it...
the hoses are cheap, go to your local parts store and look at their formed hoses. Your' looking for the right bends, you can always cut em shorter (I had to)
was next to nothing to replace em (employee discount from a family member)
doom: yes it's critical, as going over that will actually STRETCH the bolts badly (I have botls to prove this)
I own 2 torque wrenches just because of this...
by the TSRM, they are reusable...
but they're cheap, so get new ones.
You don't HAVE to seal them, but I use red loctite as I don't want them coming loose. I use an impact to remove them so it's not an issue...
