LOL, the oil filter is STUPIDLY easy to do on a 7M-GTE...
TSRM shows the easiest way to do it, it's a direct shot under the car.
Granted, we probably have dialed in to how to work on them, but some stuff is still a PITA (comes with the territory of a turbocahrged car).

looks like it destroyed the upper pillowball mount, IIRC those are mcpherson strut setusp, so it probably pushed the bearing out of the assembly.
It's NOT safe to drive if that's what happened...

try working on a modern V8 car (engine halfway under the dash), a 300ZX (valve covers are less than an inch fromt he strut towers), or anything FWD...
yeah... if everything is in good working order, the engine and electronics are pretty well sealed...
If of course you have a bad spot of hacked wiring (like my CPS wiring was) steer clear of it...
I've washed my enginebay plenty of times and never gotten water stuck in the plug valley...
