negatory... the owner's manual says NOTHING about high speeds with the targa off...
it's perfectly safe as long as the road conditions allow it (and well, if your car is in good working order)
over 100 with the top off and it gets odd as the air rushes over the opening instead of into the...
Anyone got pics of the upgrade washer nozzle next to an 89+ nozzle? As many of you know the 89+ nozzle are more streamlined and look better (at least IMHO)
yep, chassis flex is taken into account when a car's suspension is tuned...
don't argue about it, read some books on it... quite a few suspension components need to flex to work properly on most cars, ours is no different...
great example is a C4 vette... the chassis flexs so much that...
can't put the studs in because the bolts only go halfway down the holes in the block while the studs go all the way in... meaning you have close to 20 years of buildup of junk in the lower half of the holes to stop the stud from going all the way in...
retorque and/or keep money saved up for...
the OEM ones where made from real leather IIRC...
they didn't have that clear film until recently, and the clear film yellows and won't protect nearly as well...
targa FTW
All you people saying it feels like a wet noodle need to know a couple things... The chassis needs to flex for the suspension to do it's thing right. My car handles better with the top off at times, and shimmies a little over bumps (most of this is the windsheild vibration it...
lol
I think of it this way, the piece of mind is worth it. I don't want to be worrying about if my engine is falling apart when I have to floor it to get on the highway...
stock suspension besides the KYB shocks...

got quite a few more mods now, so I dunno what it's capable of...
true, but the different in price is marginal... many of us BPU guys aren't tuned...
if I had a knock detector that showed knock in real time on my dash, I'd mess with suchs things, but it's just not something I'd chance...
Now if you're running race gas thinking your car will be faster...
bingo^^
stock FW works great to dampen the chatter from a harsh clutch, and takes the heat far better.
I have a Action Stage 3 clutch in mine and love it. It chugs a bit, and takes some time to get it to be really smooth, but it's very civilized. If you want it to really grab though, it...
cheaper than an engine rebuild...
Worst thing I have ever done was letting someone else work on my car. Clutch throwout bearing assembly failed, took it to a tranny shop. Talked me into a clutch replacement (couldn't hurt). List of crap they fucked up.
-They brought a lift down on my...
won't matter as you'll still need to pay for seals, bearings, and of course the guy to set it all up...
the stock unit is pretty stout, as IJ said, it was the pinion getting starved of oil that caused the failures...
yep, still love my car...
the love isn't nearly as much right now, as the paint is going to hell FAST and I can't do anything to help it besides wait until I can afford to get the bodywork and paint done...
I still get eyeballed though, and I think it's only going to get worse once it's...
