They ALREADY come on if it gets to hot. They come on in a few different cases, mainly for the A/C, but if the car gets too hot they come on too. Personally, I see no reason to add the switch, if those fans are coming on all the time, you have bigger issues that need to be resolved before...

I got the stage 3, which has the 6 puck clutch. I have no issues, but it can be a bit harsh, but it comes with the territory... No chatter, and it does take some time to get used to it...

I THINK the same relay is used on other cars of the era... but someone would have to confirm the part number in the EPC for other cars...
