IJ has cruise, but it appears the JDM cars use an actuator at the gas pedal. I have no idea if it's readily available or if the computer works with both actuators, ect...
The problem is I don't think there is a perfect FFIM design for msot people.
I would want to retain all the factory sensors/functions, work with the stock ECU, and not have to move anything. I know of one way that's possible, but it requires a hard bend off the throttle body to go down to an...
Just stating what was found after they used to race these cars in SCCA Stock class...
They had to bend the rules and allow them to beef up the tabs as it was a safety hazard. Can't find the article right now, but it's why they went to the plastic endlinks isntead of being smart and making...
Got a metal core cat from magnaflow (carsound) through raptor racing.
Power gains without cats are minor (unless they're clogged), and this has been proven time and again on the dyno and flowbench.
This cat also passed smog with flying colors. I should have taken a pic of the inside...
Drive your car hard enough, and the stock swaybars will break the tabs...
As it is, I LOVE my whitelines... and Raptor Racing rocks! (I need a sticker damnit...)
Sorry JJ, but I just did this last month with a brand new third cover. It has notches where the cam cover bolts go and you'd have to force it in. TSRM also agrees with me...
The only issue I've EVER seen with the PVC pipes was the same reason the cast elbow in the hot pipe sucks, the ID of the tube is tiny compared to the OD...
Oh hell yes, it wasn't cheap, but it looks great. It fits very tight under the car, and I doubt I'll ever scrape it at stock ride height...
I've never had a "stock" exhaust. The old exhaust was someone cutting the stock one right before the resonator, putting mild steel piping (and mating...
Autozone has the proper tool for those plugs... (comes in a 3 pack with two other sizes)
To correct JJ, you have to put the third cover on first, as it won't fit with the cam covers on.
The small front ones funnel air into the IC and oil cooler...
The main bottom one is the one I'm missing. Usually if they're "falling apart" it's the bolt holes. Just use large washers to keep em on.
No, the main reason they put em on is to stop water from slashing up on the belts (why it's usually called a slash guard).
My car didn't have one when I got it, and as the cooling system on mine is overkill for my mods at this time it's down the list of things to buy...
sounds GREAT, I have yet to really get it on the highway as of yet though.
I have a cheap DDP that is making the exhaust not fit quite right (no fault of RR), not to mention the DDP leaks and is loud.
I'll be buying one of RR's Rerouted DDP's in the near future to ge this car back into the...
