That's too far forward, easiest way to find where it would be is to put the camera on a tripod, take a picture of the hood open and closed, ad then overlay in photoshop to see where it is. Anyway, as it's been discussed a million times, it's a nice hood design and we even the design RaceOne...

Fuel cut is based on the amount of air over the AFM, not PSI. Don't go by the butt dyno and get a gauge... You'd probably be better to post this in the 7MGTE sectionas the electronics are 7M...

You're missing the hardware. There are two plastic pieces they get attached to the body that stick up and you screw into them. You'll need the snap inserts as well...

Sounds like an exhaust leak as it's temp dependant. Its very possible given the water everywhere and the engine parts being hot as hell. How's the oil pressure look?

Leaded gas + catalytic converter = bad Cat gets coated in the lead, clogs up and any power you where hoping to make it history. I am unsure of any other effects it would have on the other systems in the car like the O2 sensor or the fuel system. Though others seem to not have issues.

BINGO, yep, the stock aux. fans are supposed to kick on in an overheat situation. They have their own circuit and sensor as well. Stock t-stat is marked 88C, which comes out to 190F...

It seems to be a very common trend recently of people having fuel issues and the usual reply is, "12V fuelpump mod!" I don't buy it as people have been using walbros for YEARS without having to mess with the wiring...

-check clutch pedal freeplay (very possible to cause this problem as it did on mine) -what's the condition of the flywheel? it's it's heavily worn and no longer has a backstep it could be an issue, but it wouldn't cause it to slip on a brand new clutch... -something wasn't assembled right...

Depends on the gas IIRC, some brands are leaded, others aren't.

Nope, before ethanol they used other additives. The transition from lead happened decades ago while the transition to ethanol just happened recently.

E85 is cheaper than racegas though... that and it's not leaded. I agree, the ONLY application I can see it being used effectively is in turbocharged cars. Would be interesting to see if you could tune it for both and retrofit one of the OEM octane sensors in the gas tank to swap maps...
