    Exhaust System

Actually, on a turbo car anything after the turbo doesn't really matter, the bigger the better. Anything before the turbo will make the difference. Scavenging can also be helped by header and collector design (grouping ports together to increase velocity), and this also carries over to...

    Front Bumper

Turbo-A ducts when installed and used properly serve a function (this is why they where put on the Turbo-A's in the first place) Also, the ab-flug rears follow a natural bodyline and don't really need to be molded in, now the bomex rears...

can i drive my mk3 whit ethanol?

This is wrong. EPA regulations changed the normal octane booster for ethanol in all gasolines. Miss the sign that says "contains up to 10% ethanol?" One of the main reasons I'm against people removing their charcoal canisters as the ethanol is the first part to evaporate, leaving you with...

    Exhaust System

No, it's not "backpressure" that gets you low end torque. It's the velocity of the exhaust gas and the scavenging effect it has to remove the exhaust from the cylinder and also pull in fresh air during overlap. The size of the pipe that allows such velocity can then become a restriction at...

    Shytheed Gets Serious

 That's like reading the car craft issue where they guys kept having to drain and drop the gastank. They forgot to drain it the last time and the guy got stuck under the car. The photographer didn't help, just took pictures of him stuck

    Thermostat ?????

Neither am I, but I get sick of asking the same things over and over :D On a side note, make sure the surfaces inside the housing where the rubber o-ring sit are clean. No sealant is needed if it's in good shape. Also, don't overtighten the bolts!

    Painter's bullshit or truth?

It's a metallic paint, and it's common to have issues like that with it. I've seen cars that looked like they had stripes in the pain from the metallic, it takes skill to apply it consistently, looks like they're lacking...

Chrysler looking to sell off the Viper line

That last section he could have probably shifted to get more speed, and the rest of the time it looks like he's fighting with the gearbox (missed shifts, wrong gear, ect) But yes, it's a full race car while the competition is not...

    TRD head comparison?

Quench helps with the mixture, but those edges could cause hotspots. I'd be interested to see what the difference in pistons is, as I have a feeling it's also a part of the puzzle...
