What is the first sign of a BHG?

There are dozens of areas that could cause this, however. Pinhole leaks in the cooling system will cause the same thing - and there is a LOT of old rubber on your car, I bet.

    Need wisdom

Replace the radiator cap first. If that doesn't fix it, head for the higher dollar fixes.

    Launching a Turbo Supra?

This depends SO much on what your car is setup like. Running a stock NA auto is completely different from launching a 600rwhp monster on a 5 speed with a sintered iron unsprung clutch. Tires make a huge difference as well - I can launch mine pretty good on my snow tires, but I can't launch...

    Ball of steel

It's not like they don't try to warn people ahead of time - there are signs all over the place saying "STAY AWAY FROM THE EDGE", and fences, and so on. While we were there my brother-in-law's girlfriend tripped and nearly went over the edge, 'cause she's too stupid to live.

Are the GE and GTE wiring harness the same

I think we'll leave it. In the future, people might search, find this, and not have to ask. :)

    supercharged supra

It can absolutely be done. Most people go Turbo because swapping in a turbo engine is cheaper... by a LOT. Putting on a supercharger would mean a whole lot of custom fab work, and a whole lot of R&D.

    clutch disc direction

MDC is correct. The snout goes towards the tranny side. It won't fit properly on the flywheel side. Won't work either, and would make someone very grumbly. :D

Gee, like, worse than IE? (snicker) No such animal!

    Ball of steel

I was at the Grand Canyon a couple years back, and did a bus tour of the edge. Talking to the tour guide, I discovered that every month, AT LEAST one tourist takes what they call the "13 second tour." He talked about it like it was no big deal, I guess they just get used to it after a few months.

    Your thoughts on this problem....

Boost leak. Split pipe or leaking coupler, I bet. :)

ooOO! Good call! Another advantage to add to my solid engine mounts. :)

    FireFox plus adblock rocks!

I've been using FireFox for a long time now - less popups, less spyware, etc, etc. I've known about adblock for a long time, but I just installed it today. Holy crap, it makes the internet useable again! Check out the two screenshots below - which one would YOU like to use?

    crunch/rattle on initial accelleration

Bearings usually make noise all the time, not just under acceleration. Coming from the front of the car, I'd start checking things that could be under stress during accel... engine to tranny mounts, motor mounts, front suspension... Next, check if it's accel related or RPM related. If...

Where can I buy a set of Semi-Solid Motor Mounts?

The semi-solids are just as easy - possibly easier - to make yourself. Delrin isn't that tough to get hold of, just sandwich a layer (or two) in between two chunks of aluminum, and keep the overall length the same. That's how the SC ones were made. I don't think anyone offers them for sale...

    if the supra didnt exist...

Agreed. The other choice for me would be the second to last generation Prelude. No 944s... remember the rule of the Porsche. Anything with a 4 in the name sucks. The 944 has TWO of em, and it is argueably the worst car they ever produced. The 928S4 is the exception that proves the rule.

    crunch/rattle on initial accelleration

With the car in park, how much can you roll the car back and forth? Does it make nasty sounds when you do so? My first guess would be rear differential...

Just beginning my project, got a couple questions...

You can only remove your ISC if you change your throttle setup. So if you purchased a throttle body with an integrated idle controller, you could remove the original one.

Are there any Twin Turbo 7Ms?

    I agree with IHI-RHC7.

    smart old men

Not me, I never buy anything new. Cars depreciate by 50% in 4 years without adding significantly to their wear - so I like to let someone else pay for the first half of my car. :D
