You don't have to pull the starter completely, but chances are you at least have to loosen it off. I managed to slip my plug off with the starter bolted on, but the engine was out of the car and even then it still took quite a bit of fiddling.

^^^ I'm with him on the cold start sensor. :) Oddly enough, I have the same issue - can't start the car if it's warm without letting it crank over for 15 seconds or thereabouts! Been meaning to dig through all the options and figure out what is causing the annoyance.

Dead, I think there is something wrong there. I run multiple FireFoc windows in the background while playing FEAR with no slowdowns at all. I have more system resources free when running FF than I do when running IE. Are you running a bunch of plugins? Custom skins?

DD for me. I drive mine all year round, in rain, snow, sleet, whatever. I also carry my mountain bike around on the trailer hitch on the back, and sit muddy mountain bikers inside. It's stranded me once. Of course, what car doesn't do this every few years? I do not have to depend on it...

What did this end up costing you? And what options did you get?

Here's a thought... can we get a high rez photo of an ECU that shipped with the 7M crank, and another that shipped with the 6M crank, then compare the two and see what Toyota did to drop the rev limit? If there is a physical difference, it should logically be easy to go the other direction...

Boost leak can be found by inspecting the intercooler pipes, more often than not there are several by now - the accordian pipe that feeds air to the turbo usually cracks, as does the rubber pipe off the compressor side of the turbo and the rubber coupler between the 3000 pipe and the throttle body.
