very true...i started buying parts 10 months before i finished my build. this was i didnt spend all my money at once and was able to shop around and find better prices. also check out the for sale section on this site for good deals
thats not entirely true... im running electric fans with no problems. the stock mech fan flowed a lot more, but ive got a big alum radiator and two thermostat control efans. never overheats or comes close
if your balljoint is blown, i wouldnt be testing its limits if i were you. get that fixed asap. not too hard to do yourself. but yes, the clunking is a symptom of a bad ball joint.
since the mechanic left the coolant line from the radiator to the overflow off, i would check to see how much...
fuel cut is designed to prevent you from damaging your engine. i dont know the answer about unplugging a sensor to avoid it....... but it sounds like a dumb idea. from what i remember, somewhere around 12-14psi on a stock setup mk3 is where you hit fuel cut. there are other ways to get around...
anyone use the tial q type bov? i just ordered one because my blitz isnt holding up with my needs. my friend and his buddies (subaru guys) swear by them

so let me get this straight... you put the hks bov with the recirculation fitting and it misses at idle? what exactly are the symptoms? does it die after you let off the throttle?
does this happen when your driving. what are the symptoms?
when your trying to accelerate, does it rev up higher and not pull as hard? hard to explain, but it sounds like a slipping clutch

good luck with that one. ive broke 3 in my lifetime. one was the original, and the other 2 were new (within 2 years). order a new one from champion toyota just in case... its not expensive. last thing you want is to break it and have to wait for a new one to come.

i would definetely go with the boss series turbos... there are many choices as far as sizes. they are "bolt on" and they offer a complete install kit with all the ss hoses needed if you dont want to fabricate your own. suprasport offers great customer service and will walk you through any...
i already made the $20 deposit when this first started up. i just wanted to show a sign that i will buy it ($100 deposit). i would like to see it mounted on a car before i complete my payment. once its completed i will pay the remainder immediately.

I ran the spec stage2 clutch for a few years of abuse and highly recommend it. when i upgraded (after 4 years), it still held strong. another one to try is the driftmotion stage2 or stage3 (Action 6puck)... they are reasonably priced and good products. im currently running the...
seems like you have pretty decent base mods. but i would upgrade the fuel system with a bigger pump, afpr, and some sort of piggyback fuel computer before you go too much further. just to add piece of mind, i would get a wideband to monitor A/F ratio. then you can get a bigger turbo and up...
bad news guys... the forcast is shitty. if there is some sort of miracle and it doesnt rain, can we meet somewhere between.... like right off the parkway on bloomfield ave? it doesnt make sense for me to drive all the way north to just turn around and go back south.
plus ill be running on...
i dont claim to be an electrical expert, but at least with my car, those symptoms were exactly as i experienced. i would be able to start and drive with no problem. and then i would go to start the car somewhere and nothing happened, didnt even try to turn over. then id wiggle the cps wires...
