a new wiring harness is a good idea if your current harness is in bad shape. but what you can do is wire in a new 4pin connector that you can find at a local autoparts store. i bought one used for a trailer hitch.

i had the same problem... i thought the cable was just stretched out. i got tired of opening the trunk and pulling the cable manually. what i did was just put a zip tie around the cable between the sleeve and the end of the cable. fixed the problem. sorry cant describe it better

and be sure to go over the obvious... everything is plugged in such as coils packs, ignitor, all grounds are connected and clearly.. check the fuses

ive noticed in the northeast the popularity growing. i found mine in 2002. never seen one in person before that. now i know at least 8-10 mk3 owners and its still growing. maybe i've been noticing more since i got mine.

yes... its a good idea to leave the o2 connected so you can get a good base tune dialed in. you want to satisfy the ecu before you go and remove the o2 sensor. with the o2 connected and before you mess with any fuel settings on the pro, adjust the fuel pressure until you can get the vf signal...
well the first time pulled my own engine, a lot of those bolts were original and were never removed. some were stripped and some were already rounded off by the previous owner. its just good to be prepared. i replaced almost all the original bolts with new grade 8 fasteners or new from toyota...
did you change the water pump?
small chance this may be your problem... but i changed the water pump on my girlfriends es300, never checked the part number. turns out the guy at the parts store got me the wrong water pump (for a v8 lexus). it flows alot more than it should. her car barely got...
carbon fiber CFX lip. I love mine. Only put it on for special occasions. Its too low to the ground on my car and i cant pull in to most driveways. But i imagine most lips would give me the same problem
