felpro is junk as well...
I've had to replace the exhaust manifold, throttlebody, and EGR cooler gaskets so far... If I did it over again I'd get toyota gaskets as they're MUCH better made.
EGR cooler gasket is the wrong material entirely (paper instead of the stuff they use for exhaust...
Valve stem seals...
Been quite a few people that have had a shop fuck up the seal installs (the tips of the valve stems are sharp and will tear the seal)...
I've said it many times...
If you're running a test pipe you're either:
-running leaded race fuel
-cheap
Run a damn cat unless you're running leaded race fuel! If I'm stuck behind you on a cruise and it's burning my eyes I'm gonna be pissed...
SC is to the MKIV what the Cressida is to the MKII and MKIII...
Same basic car under the skin (coilovers for a MKIV work on the SC, ect), so I see why people buy em as they're usually MUCH cheaper than a MKIV.
I see more body mods for the MKIII than I see for the SC though...
See, sometimes I love my open wastegate, but since I've gone back to stock boost (or as stock as my mods allow) the wastegate opens so early it gets irritating.
My exhaust is mean enough sounding at full song, don't need the wastegate screaming anymore LOL
A 3" exhaust will look better and flow better IMHO. It's also always "on" for when you want the power, and it's going to be MUCH quieter than a dump...
Personally after owning a DDP for quite a while now, I'd go with the recirculated one...
