Yeah, that's what I thought it was. It was scary!
I need to get my walbro installed. After that, Maft Pro and a set of 550's! :icon_bigg
I'm hoping that turning up the pressure to 40 will be enough to keep the fuel rail pressurized. I don't like the excessive cranking that I'm...
Well, I am very much a newb the supra scene entirely! Not sure if it was fuel cut. I'm shimmed to 11psi of boost so I know I'm right at the point of fuel cut; but, never hit it before.
When this happened, the seat belt was the only thing keeping me from going threw the windshield. (not...
I am going to turn up the pressure to 40 today. I can't see any harm in that. Yesterday, when I merged onto the freeway, I got on it a bit and I either hit fuel cut or I need to turn up the pressure a bit. She fell on her face at about 4500rpm. Scared the crap out of me! :biglaugh:
When I...
I still have stock injectors and fuel pump. I set my fuel pressure to 35psi with the vacum tube off. Any problems with that setting?
What is the typical fuel pressure at idle w/vacum tube attached?
I also notice that since I've installed the regulator, the car cranks longer before...
Question #1:
I just installed my Aeromotive AFPR this weekend and now my car cranks longer prior to starting. Is this normal with these regulators? Once started there are no issues. There don't appear to be any leaks and fuel pressure is set to 35psi.
Question #2:
Unrelated to...
I'm thinking that too. As soon as it was mentioned, I remembered that there is this ever so slight little rattle type noise. It's not consistant though. I may go a week without hearing it.
Hey Aaron...thanks for the hook-up on the Intercooler by the way. I do appreciate it! :icon_bigg
This exact thing happened to me. They claimed 40k miles and drop in ready. Right!
The first engine had been run on low oil and all the internals were toast from the top down. I sent it back, they agreed, and sent me a second one.
The second one had a BHG on #6 and badly eroded water...
Hey guys! I just installed my 57 Trim yesterday. Sweet!!!!! :biglaugh:
My original CT was stock with the wastegate shimmed and after I pulled it off the car and removed the shims prior to storing it, I noticed that the spring seem a little weak/stretched. I'm not sure if that makes sense...
No offense taken there starscream. I did just pull numbers out of the air because I didn't have my ARP chart in front of me when I posted the thread.
Ok. Thanks guys. You all provided the info I wanted.
I love you guys man! :biglaugh:
I am thinking of removing the stock head bolts (currently torqued to 70 lbs) one by one and replacing them with ARP Head Studs and torquing them to 90 lbs or so.
The car has 117k with the original engine that has never been apart. (except for repairs that I've done) Head has never been off...
Yeah, after reading everyone's suggestions, I think that's part of why the "starter" method didn't work. I didn't have any gap at all between the frame and the breaker bar. I was afraid to use the ground for fear of it lifting the car enough to allow for a whole revolution with the breaker bar...
Alrighty then... Not sure what prompted all that; but, anyway... Hopefully it's all out of everyone's system. Sometimes we forget that this forum is a community for people of like interests to share tips, tricks, and friendly advice. :icon_bigg
That being said, thank you to everyone for...
Well, I am not by any means the strongest guy out there; but, certainly not the weekest either. Lack of strength isn't the issue.
As already stated, the fact that the bolt has been on there for 21 years and been exposed to road grime, moisture, weather, and who knows what other foreign...
