Yeah, I have a 2' breaker bar also; but, it was bending and about to break and that's why I switched to the 2' ratchet. The ratchet is much thicker.
Oh yeah! I've been taught the same childhood rules. Don't cut toward yourself...don't pull breaker bars with leverage pipes toward...
Yeah, ya know what's really funny about your statement is that I almost broke my stinking collar bone! I couldn't get enough on it by pushing so I started pulling. Fortunately, I had my head and face out of the way when the 2' 1/2" drive Craftsman ratchet gave way because the pipe that I had...
I've got some new upgrades coming and I'll be installing them here in a few weeks. At that time, I'll go ahead and pull the radiator and hit it with my impact. That may not break it free; but, at least I'll have more options with the radiator being out of the way.
I wonder if the previous...
I ate up a 5.0 the other day. We went from a 40 roll and stopped about 70. I had him by 1.5 cars. It was a quick run and he got a good look at my bumper! :biglaugh:
I wish we could've gone from a dig!! :naughty:
Bumping the starter did not work. It didn't have enough force to break it loose.
I guess I'm headed to town for a super long pipe and maybe a couple hand grenades!!!
Ok. So then everything rotates in the form of the good 'ol "Righty tighty...Lefty loosey" when bumping the starter? If so, that's what I'm going to try. :naughty:
Not second guessing you here Hommer; but, can anyone confirm that for me?
Thanks everyone!
I have an air impact; but, not sure it'll put enough on it to break it loose, plus I was trying to do this without removing the radiator so I don't have room for the impact. Doh...:aigo:
Well, I'll give those answers as soon as I get the crank pulley bolt off.
Dumb questions here; but, I took off a tranny inspection plate (driver's side) and wedged a screwdriver in there. I have a HUGE-O-La breaker bar and pipe; but, I can't break it loose. Well, I probably can; but, I'm...
Thanks for the reply.
I'll check those things. I sure don't want to put a new belt on and have it chewed up in a few miles. Know what I mean...? :naughty:
Stock motor. No rebuilds; but, a great thought. I've heard the horror stories about that scenario.
Something else I forgot to...
Wow! I figured I'd see better numbers than those! :aigo:
And yes. My exhaust is FULLY 3" from the turbo back. No restrictive elbow and no cats. I plan on staying where I'll be after the 550's, MAFT Pro, Wideband, and a tune.
At least that's what I say for now. :naughty:
Here are two pics of my timing belt. Notice how the belt is not riding on the pulley correctly. It's rubbing on the rear cover causing damage to the belt.
Anyone seen this...what's the cause...how do I fix it?
Thanks!!
Hey guys! Just asking this for funsies... (if that's even a word)
My current mods are in my signature. Here's what's currently in transit to me:
57 Trim from TurboNetics/Performance Techniques
Aeromotive AFPR Kit (from Driftmotion)
Walbro 255 (I actually already have this; but, not...
Hey guys! My CT26 just left for Turbonetics/Performance Techniques in San Bernardino, CA. for the 57 Trim Upgrade.
Has anyone here had them do any work for them or had any experience with them?
Just curious... :naughty:
I second the notion that it may be valve train noise. A fellow MKIII owner has approximately 600 miles on a fresh rebuild and his valve train is LOUD! About three times as loud as mine and my engine has 115k on it.
Yes, a rod knock starts out making a faint noise and as you drive it, it...
Hey guys! Wuuuuuuuuuusssss up?! :naughty:
Does anyone know if a newer (90 and up) climate control fit and work in an 87?
Mine is starting to look a little worse than I like. Plus, the newer ones look muuuuuuch better!
Thanks...
