rofl... I can fix them in about 15 minutes, actually. Helps when you walk to your bench, pick out all the wrenches you need, walk back to the car, and pull it all apart without having to think about it. :D
Also helps when all the nuts and bolts have been pulled recently - no stubborn fasteners...
Depends on how much power you are running, what kind of torque it was clamped at, and how well tuned your engine is.
Given the right circumstances, it will last a very long time.
Sorry for abandoning you, but I don't have a pre-89 wiring harness to compare to, mine is the 89 setup. I know the wire colors are different there, too.
3 litres every 1000km is 1 litre per tank of gas. That will leave marks on the ground, but not puddles. First thing I'd look for is leaky valve cover seals.
Next, pull one of the PCV hoses and check for excessive blowby. That will usually cause some ugliness, if there is, pull off the upper...
Another thing - please remember that there is a big difference between SupraStore and SupraSport. Two very different companies, with very different ideas on customer service.
You could always just plump the FPR straight to manifold pressure, bypassing the VSV. Then it wouldn't start quite so nice when warm, but that's about all the effect it would have.
