You guys are scaring me!! lol... :)
Well, I'll try to pick one up locally and get after it!
May the Supra Gods grant me with Supra Knowledge, Supra Guideance, and Supra Patience! :D
Oh great! That's all I need! Another HUGE-O-LA project! I just got done with the BHG for pete's sake!!!!!
Aaaaarrrrrrgh...the life of a Supra owner...bitter-sweet! SIGH.... :)
Hi everyone! As some of you know, I just repaired a BHG about 2 weeks ago. I'm guessing the heater core sustained damage when the BHG happened and is now leaking. I have been hunting this coolant leak for about a week now and just found it today. It's leaking just enough to wet the carpet...
Remember! Fuel cut is your friend! It helps prevent detonation and running a cylinder lean. Remove it without proper mods is begging for Detonation which equals BHG! And among other bad possibilities!
I know this is echo'd in about every one of these threads; but, here goes... Do it...
It is normal for it to run rough for a few minutes after pulling the EFI fuse.
You will definitely want to re-check for codes.
And dumb question here; but, are you sure you're jumping T1 to E1 and not something different by mistake? :)
Contact Performance Techniques in San Bernardino, CA. Google them. My friend and I both had our turbos rebuilt by them. They charged me $475.00 with a two day turnaround. Ask for James.
Good luck!
And yes...your car is sweet looking!
Hi and welcome!
Here is the link to the TSRM. The lifeline of all MKIII owners!
http://www.cygnusx1.net/Supra/Library/TSRM/MK3/default.aspx
Codes: Yes, the car will give you codes with the key on the 'ON' position and the jumper installed properly. Refer to the above link for jumper...
Yeah, I started out putting a gloss finish to it; but, like it better a little flatter so that's how I left it. :)
If he want's gloss to it, let me know.
A couple of my buddies here have DSM's. They launch like mad!!!
My HKS 1.2mm MHG arrived today. Thanks Dunckel!!! :D
I will be putting my ARP Headstuds back in using motor oil on the threads and here are my three questions:
Is 90 ftlbs what I should torque to?
Should I retorque?
When should I retorque? (mileage and/or time frame)
Thanks...
Not that my post will help; but, it may...
I've heard of people doing it. Risky...
I figure that even if you have to wait a little while before you can get a new one, it may save you $$ in the long run. You don't want anything to go wrong when you've got 400 ponies pulling your wagon! :D
Hmm...with all my other goodies, I think I'll just wait and install them all together. Thanks for the offer though. If I end up changing my mind here in the next few weeks, I'll PM you for it.
Hey guys!
My fuel system is currently stock except for an Aremotive AFPR. I have a set of 550's, maft pro, and a walbro; but, they aren't installed yet.
I currently have the head off fixing a BHG.
So, my question is:
Will installing the 550's cause problems without the other items...
Hey Matt! How ya been? Thanks for the offer; but, I'm good on heads right now. I have two complete spare engines; but, what condition is your head in so in case I hear of anyone over here needing one?
