3000 on an 89 NA, thanks. but yes, the carpet and paint had been redone after the car got flooded. here lately, there's a new radiator, rack and pinion, and upgraded brakes at all four corners. Dave, that is definitely something to think about pulling off this summer. thanks for the advice

the second number is the ratio to the first number (tire width). so the new tires will be 55% of the width, whereas the stock tires are 50% width. did i do that right, or was i misinformed?
