Like everybody said don't do it.
When you weld the spider gears, you are basically making one solid bar from wheel to wheel. Both wheels turn at the same rate at all times. Your differential is gone, as is your ability to go around corners smoothly.
With a normal differential, when you go...
Welcome to the site. Those sc300 are nice cars. And putting a 1j in there should be really neat.
On a side note, you do know that the knock sensor wires are shielded, so the actually have two wires inside the insulation. One outer shielding, and one core.
The fact that you mentioned...
You have a few options.
1) Run the sub off the amp and the door speakers of the headunit. This option is best if your Kenwood unit has the option for highpass filtering on it's channels. I'm not familiar with the newer Kenwood’s, but I know the majority of Pioneer have this option so I...
Options
1)Purchase a wiring harness, their usually 10$ or less. This is you best and easiest option. It makes life so much simpler. You can usually pick them up anywhere that sells car stereos.
2)If somebody has already hacked off your original connectors, then use this diagram to figure out...
LOL, You usually don't miss those kind of things, so I thought it might have been something along those lines. ;)
So what’s the cure to Supramania induced insomnia? :biglaugh:
Um....???? ok I'm confused. Where did the 16g come in? I was talking about the 18g.
Yes the 16g spools before that, the 16g, in my opinion is the ideal turbo for the 4G DSM motor. The 18g takes a little longer to spool but when it does watch out.
The ct-26 will probably reach full spool...
How long would it take to spool a sp61 on a 2.0 Liter engine?
The following is just a guess, because I'm not sure of the spool characteristics of the 1G.
DSM’s(eclipses, ect.) have a 2.0 liter motor, and their equivalent of the ct-26 is the 18G(roughly)
The 18G’s...
Just to give to you an idea 22in-lbs is approx~1.8 ft-lbs. Few torque wrenches are going to go that low(accurately), so do like shaeff said and use your best guess.
Also, the method I stated works well for me, never had any leaks. However some members just can't get it to work, this is most...
New seals, a little sealant at the cam gear corners, and then torque them down to Toyota spec, 22 in-lbs. Remember that’s in in-lbs not ft-lbs, so basically not very much torque. It has worked well for me.
Here’s the page: http://www.cygnusx1.net/supra/library/TSRM/em/EM_56.html
^^^ Well technically the Cold start injector itself doesn’t, However the Cold Start Injector circuitry, and protocols inside the ECU do take readings from various sensors, in order to decide how it should activate the injector.
But I’m sure we all knew what I was saying so I...
Srgt Sultz was the man. " I know Nothhing Kernel Hogan.....Nothhhinggg! :D
Man, the things we watch when there is nothing else on at 2:00 in the morning. ;)
Well at least she was trying, that is more than you can say about most girls. Present company excluded.
If you have replaced your recirculation valve with a Blow off valve vented to the atmosphere, and it is not adjusted right you will have the exact symptoms stated above.
Yeah SF in small doses is ok, but SM is where home is at.
Thanks Mike, I know it isn't easy to do a fresh rebuild on a server when you already have a job. We all appreciate the hours you have put in to this. Thanks again Mike.
I'm into the cheerleader beer right now. Smirnoff twist black cherry is freaking good. I like it a little too much and need to quite it. Other than the little bout I'm having right now I haven’t really drank in a long time.
