alright. hardware store around here has something called strip-out and it sounds a bit like valve lapping compound. its a rough grit that you squeeze onto your screw head and it gives you more contact/grip on the thing. if that doesn't work and youre willing to sacrifice a screwdriver, jbweld...
tonight's pics, work started at 11 and ended at 1. almost completed another layer of FG, with the exception of a few edges here and there. also did a little more sanding before the second layer. after i get the edges finished, it'll be time to trim and then crack the FG away from the...
another downside to that, cj, is using a charger with the name "whipple".
"oh shit, look out; hes got a whipple on that thing!" just doesn't sound masculine, but maybe it's just me.
well hell, i like pie. maybe having the colored panels going from green to maybe one or two segments yellow and then red after 100 or so. i like it. then say we add a surprise. once you get past 130 a red segment lights up with a smiley face inside it.
very nice. the a/f ratio isnt too bad, like wedge pointed out. its just the ecu swinging from lean to rich trying to keep it all in check, overshooting a little every time.
you may remember my latest "help me with this" thread, its the one about supercharging that turned into a big ol' argument :biglaugh:
anyway, here's this week's "help me" topic: an active speedometer that would work in unison with the tach.
the needles would move in synchro with each...
ive always got the option to put some pieces of 1/8 inch lauan on the back of this and then put another layer of fg on, sandwiching it. might try that at key places, it'd be a lot less trouble than cutting an outline (or maybe that's what you intended in the first place)
well i havent gotten that far yet, to tell you the truth. id planned on screwing it in on the drivers side where the stock one screwed in, maybe used bondo to build it up some so it would hold a screw. as for the rest of it, i was going to look for some panel clips and see if i could secure...
those criminals must have been complete dumbasses. not that i would, but if i had gone to the trouble to break in and steal stuff off of that, id have taken a car as beaut as that.
that is one clean supra, glad youve got it back on the road again.
my bet is the brake light switch, ive heard of the pedal easing down slowly and cutting it on after a few hours of just the gentle pressure from the brake pedal itself.
