ya W58 would mean I was driving an NA. and I would never do something crazy like that.:biglaugh: Mine isn't really that bad... It's only when I'm down shifting from 3rd at high RPM. Rev matching helps though.

Most of the Supras I've driven grinded into 2nd downshifting at higher RPM.

Ok. That's what I was looking for. I'd like to see a dyno graph of the VVti engine though. With my engine, I may not have made max torque(290) until 5000 but I was making 280ft/lbs@ around 3200. So I'm wondering what the hp/tq curves of the VVti look like.

My engine is fine. If I stay out of boost and drive it normal, the mileage is great. I normally don't drive normal though and then it's not so good on gas.

Shift lower to keep out of boost. If I'm trying to get better mileage, I won't go above 2500. I don't think a 2J is gonna solve your problem. Well... your 2J might not have this problem but that won't tell you what's causing your issue on your 1J which you should do first anyway. I'm not...
